Why not volunteer with us?......
Consequently, we will be undertaking a massive recruitment drive for more Staff & volunteers to run more ‘club’ nights and youth services.
And we are starting to think about our new activities that will be available weeknights in the new youth building.....
Most Volunteers work once every four weeks (some every other week). It’s a commitment of 2 and a bit hours on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday night.
Volunteering involves helping set-up and take down, serving at the tuck shop, helping with the activities, and general interaction with the kids.
Don't worry if you have never done this before, all of us started like that. And there are always lots of other volunteers on at the same time, you work in pairs and we provide full training.
It's a great team to work with, and it can be very rewarding working with the kids. Don't just take my word on that, ask any of our volunteers!
Anyone interested in joining us, let me know.
We also need volunteers to do the office based stuff too. So if you don’t want to work with the kids directly, but would like to offer you time and skills doing admin type stuff, get in contact too.
So what activities and events we should offer in addition to the Friday Night Club we already run? What would you like to see in there? Sports, games, films, speakers, homework support, food-based things?
Please let us know any ideas you have as we want to fill the youth building with activities you want rather than what we think you want!
